The images featured in Radiant are an insightful meditation on the physical spaces of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA). Using an old photo engraving method called photogravure, German photographer, Antje Hanebeck interprets various facets of I.M. Pei’s design through a nostalgic visual experience of atmosphere, light and shadow. The choice of images and presentation reflects MIA’s blend of modern architecture and ancient treasures, shedding light on the many links between the past and the present.
