Toluca Editions is a publishing house founded ten years ago in Paris, by Alexis Fabry and Olivier Andreotti.
Each project is the result of an intimate collaboration between an artist’s use of photography, a writer, and a designer, contributing a custom case.
The «artist’s book,» as it had been understood since the early 20th century, gives way to a hybrid art object taking a novel position in the field.
In 2008, the 16 works published by Toluca at the time were exhibited at Mexico City’s Museum of Modern Art in a scenography conceived by Mauricio Rocha, one of Mexico’s leading figures in contemporary architecture. 6 projects were first exhibited in the United States in 2009, at Josée Bienvenu Gallery in New York. 6 among their 29 publications were exhibited at Brown University in 2013.
